The Era of Catch and Release- Captain Judson Brock and Captain Cameron Pappas

Thanks for tuning into another episode of “Fisheries Gone Wild” with CCA NC. This week we are in Wilmington NC where we sit down with Captain Judson Brock of Eastern Angling and Captain Cameron Pappas of Blackbird guideservice to talk about thier guide buisnesses here in the Cape Fear region of our state.

We discuss how their summer guide season has been so far this year and both Cameron and Judson talk about the changes they are seeing in their local Red Drum fishery. They both have noted a decrease in thier local red drum populations this year, what could be the root cause of this issue?? More people on the water? Technology changing the way we fish? Weather Patterns? Overall pressure on the resource??? Youll have to listen in to find out.

One thing is certain, thier are more anlgers enjoying our coastal resources today than ever before. As anglers we all have an impact on the overall health and abundance of our local fisheries and we also all have an obligation to to promote a sutainable fishery that will be here for future generations to enjoy.

We hope you enjoy this podcast!
