04 Dec Povoromo’s national saltwater fishing seminar coming January 5
George Povoromo will bring the Salt Water Sportsman National Seminar Series to Wilmington’s Hotel Ballast on Saturday, January 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring 10 experienced saltwater captains who will teach their secrets of catching more trophy fish.
He is the host of George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing on the NBC Sports Network, and Contributing Editor for Salt Water Sportsman. Co-Hosting with Poveromo will be “Crazy” Alberto Knie, a legendary shallow water and land-based fishing specialist on catching trophy redfish, flounder and tarpon! The Tour is presented by Bass Pro Shops.
The National Seminar Series is the nation’s longest-running and most popular educational course on recreational marine fishing tactics and techniques. Each stop on the eight-city tour is geared to the how and where of catching saltwater fish within that region, inshore, near shore and offshore. Teams of top local pros and nationally-recognized saltwater angling authorities serve as the faculty. Joining Poveromo and Knie in Wilmington will be Captains Amanda King, John Mallette, Lynn Perry, Jud Brock, Jot Owens, Mike Goodwine, Debbie Hanson, Harry Vernon III, David Wicker and Alan Wenzel.
Courses for the January 5 presentation will focus on everything from fool-proof red drum tactics and trolling for bluefin tuna to taking trophy trout on lures and no nonsense surf fishing secrets, plus lots more.
The $55 ticket price covers five hours of instruction from the best pros in the business, a course textbook, a one-year subscription or extension to Salt Water Sportsman magazine, one Roffer’s Ocean Fishing Forecast Analysis and various other products and discounts. In addition to lots of door prizes, the grand prize at the conclusion of the Wilmington seminar is a Florida Keys fishing trip and the super grand prize, to be awarded two weeks after the conclusion of the 2019 series, is a new Mako Pro Skiff 17cc.
“The fact that the seminar series is now into its 32nd year of touring serves as the best endorsement to the caliber of the program as well as the vast amount of pertinent how-to information that’s passed along to our audiences”, said George Poveromo. “There’s nothing like it for solid, no-nonsense information on how to catch more and bigger fish within your region.”
