Southern flounder advisory committee to meet

The Southern Flounder Fishery Management Plan Advisory Committee will meet at 6 p.m. July 18 at the N.C. Department of Environmental Quality’s regional office at 943 Washington Square Mall in Washington, N.C., according to a news release from the N.C. Division of Marine Fisheries.

 

The committee is continuing to assist the Division of Marine Fisheries with development of Amendment 2 to the Southern Flounder Fishery Management Plan. Agenda items include two presentations: an overview of research recommendations from prior fisheries management plans and assessments; and the management history of southern flounder.
