Rep. Larry Yarborough was recognized during the Triangle CCA NC Banquet on May 17th with the CCA NC 2017 Legislator of the Year Award for his commitment and leadership in the N.C. House of Representatives on coastal fisheries issues.
Rep. Yarborough is an avid fishermen and has never been afraid to offer his vocal support for coastal conservation and better fisheries management in North Carolina. In 2017, Rep. Yarborough was the lead sponsor on House Bill 867, Coastal Fisheries Conservation and Economic Development, and currently serves as the House Chairman of the Legislative Sportsman’s Caucus.

We were also thrilled to have House Deputy Majority Leader Rep. Stephen Ross, his wife, Tammy, and daughter and son-in-law join us for this year’s Triangle Banquet, as well as Senate Legislative Sportsman’s Caucus Leader Sen. Johnny Mack Alexander. As an active hunter and fisherman, Sen. Alexander has been a welcome voice in support of sportsmen’s issues in the Senate and further demonstrated his support of coastal conservation by becoming a CCA NC Life Member during the banquet!
