Doors Open at 6:00 pm with Open Bar, Dinner, Raffles, Silent and Live Auction. Dinner this year is being catered by up and coming BBQ star Mat Griner of SouthernQ Catering. Mat has been gathering awards at BBQ competitions all over the South and we can’t wait to have him cooking some of his award winning BBQ for us.

WINNING BIDDERS CHOICE OF LUXURY VILLA PACKAGES – 7 days and 6 nights at Casa Roja in Hermosa Palms, Costa Rica in a 2 home estate separated by a beautifully manicured pool with unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean. 5 bedrooms and 3 full baths, this luxury home can handle 4 couples or a family of 8 comfortably.

ALBEMARLE FISHING WITH CAPT. JEFF ONLEY –  Capt. Jeff has spoken highly of the crowd at the Wayne County Banquet and he specifically called the office this year to make sure that we would be offering a trip for 2 anglers to come fish with him for Stripers on the Albemarle. This will be a half day trip, but Capt. Jeff said that if the fishing is hot, he doesn’t mind staying out for a few more hours. This trip also includes one night’s accomodations at Keith Hinnant’s house in Columbia so that you can relax after a day’s fishing and unwind, or you can show up the night before so you don’t have to wake up so early to meet Capt. Jeff. Either way, it’ll be a fishing trip to remember.

BOTE BOARDS INFLATABLE PADDLEBOARD – Usually, the words “inflatable” and “paddleboard” don’t really go very well together. However, the folks at BOTE Boards have solved all the usual pitfalls of an inflatable paddleboard. This paddleboard comes with a pump and once it’s inflated to the correct air pressure, it is as sturdy and capable as any fiberglass or plastic paddleboard you have ever been on. The biggest bonus to this setup is the fact that when you are done, the board deflates in less than 1 minute and packs neatly in its own backpack which can fit easily in the trunk of even the smallest of cars.

DEEP SEA FISHING ON THE “PELAGIC” – If you’ve been around the Wayne County Banquet for long, then you know that we’ve offered trips on the Pelagic out of Atlantic Beach for quite a few years. There’s a reason for that. Capt. Mike Webb knows how to put anglers on the fish and we can guarantee that you’ll have a good time if we offer a trip with Capt. Mike. This year is no different. The Pelagic is rigged and ready to take you out looking for Dolphin (the kind you eat, but you might see the other kind playing in the water as well), Wahoo, Marlin, Tuna, swordfish, etc. All you need to do is show up and be ready to fish.

In addition to these items, there will be plenty of others in the live auction and some great items in the silent auction as well. When you factor in the raffles and other drawings, everyone should be able to find something they’d like to go home with..
