The Coastal Conservation Association of North Carolina and Hook and Bones are partnering again for the 2nd Annual Fishing for the Future Youth Tournament! This FREE tournament will take place on Saturday, August 12th in conjunction with the Hook & Bones Redfish Open in historic Swansboro, NC. The fishing tournament is FREE to all youth anglers and will be divided into two divisions, 13 – 17 years old, and 12 and under. Kids must register with a parent or authorized adult at the Captain’s Meeting on Friday, August 11th, at the Saltwater Grill, 99 W. Church Street, Swansboro beginning at 5:00 pm. All participating youth anglers must attend the Captain’s Meeting at 7:00 pm with a parent or adult. The tournament will be an inshore catch and release only tournament. All youth anglers are welcome to fish from land, boat or kayak. Participants will be instructed on how to record their catch during the Captain’s Meeting. Prizes will be awarded for the longest redfish and flounder, and for the most fish caught, in both age divisions along with a few additional fun categories.
