The Caring For The Coast Fall Fundraiser is an online event that will take place over the second half of October and will feature a variety of virtual options for people all over North Carolina to support CCA.

In an unprecedented year that has been tough on people across the country, CCA NC has been hit especially hard as a result of the ongoing restrictions on large gatherings in our state. Just like many non-profit organizations out there, we rely heavily on gatherings of our supporters at banquets and other events in order to raise funds for our continuous efforts to protect our shared fisheries and coastal resources.

The cancellation of all of these scheduled events dating back to the first week of March and continuing at least, through the end of the year, has taken a heavy toll and placed an added importance for us to find new and creative ways to keep our operations going. Because of this, we are excited for the opportunity to host this virtual fundraiser in an effort to make up for these cancelled events and finish out 2020 on a positive note for our organization!


The Caring For The Coast Fall Fundraiser will feature 4 ways that our supporters can choose to participate in order to help us make this event a success. Please read below for details on how YOU can get involved:



Sponsorship (available 10/8-11/1):

Purchasing a sponsorship is the first and easiest way that you can make your mark on this fundraiser.

Sponsorships are $250 each and include the following:

  • A custom 9″ filet knife from Rhineland Cutlery engraved with CCA logo and shipped directly to you – normally a $160 retail value by itself!
  • 1 entry into a drawing for your chance to win an incredible 2 person getaway
    • The big winner will get their choice of trips to Napa Valley Wine Country, Fly Fishing in Jackson Hole, WY, or Cabo San Lucas – each trip valued in excess of $4000!
  • Recognition for you, your business, or even in memory of a loved one as a top supporter of this event and CCA North Carolina at a time when we needed it most!

There is no limit on how many sponsorships you can purchase and for each one that you do, you will receive an additional knife, entry into the drawing, and increased recognition level.

Raffles (begin on 10/12):

We will have several different raffles over the course of the fundraiser. Similar to what you have come to expect and love at our normal banquets, these raffles will offer you chances to win on great high value items with tickets available at a variety of price points per ticket.

Beginning on Monday, 10/12 we will announce the first of our raffle options and will continue to add others over the course of the coming weeks. Each will be available from the time it is announced through the conclusion of the event on 11/1.

Silent Auction (10/26-11/1):

Featured on our GiveSmart virtual auction platform and beginning on Monday, 10/26, we will have a ton of incredible items available for you to bid on via your phone or computer.

Each of our chapters who had to cancel their banquets this year – Charlotte, Piedmont, Triangle, Wayne Co., Crystal Coast, and Triad – have come together to help us compile a list of items normally found on their live auction lists to be made available statewide through the Fall Fundraiser!

Many of the items we all love to see at our banquets like local fishing trips, beach vacations, art, furniture, oyster roasts, and much more will be up for grabs!

Live Auction (10/29):

The final piece of the Caring For The Coast Fall Fundraiser will be a virtual Live Auction through Facebook Live on Thursday, October 29th @ 7pm.

Tune in and join us for a virtual cocktail hour hosted by Executive Director, David Sneed, and other familiar faces in the CCA NC family.

The only thing you need to participate is a Facebook account and you are one click away from joining in on the fun while we auction off some of our top, cream of the crop items the old fashioned way (sort of).

We will have a preview of the auction items on Facebook Live a week prior to the main event on Thursday, 10/22, which will also serve as a test run to show everyone how easy it is to take part in the real thing.
